We don't see them all that clearly..

unless we drive out past the city limits.. so, even a small town of 104K has issues with lighting, as far as seeing stars goes..

The best areas I've been to for star gazing have been on dive trips - especially private islands that are very small.. velvet black sky with the most brilliant stars.. its so much different than what I'm used to here in Texas..
