Well... We got the Superintendent to resign..

Because he turned a $6 million surplus into a $9 million deficit.. One of or peeps dug up a lot fo bad stuff that he was doing - which was a result of the name change thing - and he had to resign.. the school board gave him a letter of recommendation(!) and Victoria Texas School District (VISD) just hired him, not knowing he resigned his last two superintendent positions in shame.. So, VISD is joining my "Friends of Old High" facebook group in DROVES trying to figure out what they just got into..

Mark Hood, the guy I'm working with on this campaign, ust formally announced his bid to run for Wichita Falls school board in November.. He is going to head to head with Elizabeth Yeager, who I graduated with, who spearheaded the "get rid of the Coyotes" campaign, firmly stabbing all her classmates in the back.. She is part of a 4 member alliance that has voted together on every issue and DESTROYED the Wichita Falls Independent School District completely.. So, hopefully he can beat her out and help break up the alliance.. but she is a multi-millionaire and spend millions on securing her last election to the school board - which pays nothing... Hmmm? Why would somebody do that?

They just hired the new Superintendent - we thought they should have waited until the November elections, but they wanted to hire their guy before that.. he doesn't appear to be a very good hire, so, here we go again..

If Mark wins the school board seat, he's going to revisit the Coyotes being terminated.. hopefully we can get that rolling again in November.. but the school board, who has already renamed the two future high schools (which are both $20 million overbudget) is trying to cement the names by putting the hose before the cart and doing branding before the buildings are even built.. they are currently still only moving dirt..

So, hopefully this continues in November.. IF Mark wins the seat.. If he wins the seat, the alliance would switch to 4-3 with the majority wanting to save the Coyotes..
