We used to have many airshows in Ca.

I'm not sure any of them still exist, at least not yearly.

During the heydays of airshows the planes, which included many WWII planes, would fly directly over my home at times and very close at other times on the way to the shows. I remember once my son and I counted around 50 flying overhead and all visible at the same time.

I've never been very good at identifying overhead aircraft but it was easy to tell they were classics. - JamesJM
