What it is about Kitchen Cabinets that make them SO expensive??

GEEESH!! My Wife knows a couple who spent close to $18,000?? I mean....They are essentially wooden boxes hung on the wall!! And my Wife's friends say they were shown a set that would be close to THIRTY THOUSAND!
