One thing I WILL say about our new front loader.

And YES, our old one got NASTY behind the door seal....and we dry it after EVERY use. Our new GE has a small fan that vents the area around the door to eliminate that....or help to. We were VERY close to buying a top load but have heard many war stories of newer washers doing a piss poor job of filling high enough (Even with extra fill setting) and tearing up clothes. I don't know... Seems like it's a hard win with "MODERN" technology.
