If you guys remember, last January, I saw a stray cat that had been hit n killed along the road I walk every day. I eventually got him and buried him in our back yard. Three weeks ago, I saw a orange n white kitten....maybe 4 months old, roaming in a yard next to where I found the other dead cat. Since then, I have heald my breath that I do not see him. Well, tonight I went to pick up dinner and had a very brief glimpse of a orange spot in the road. My heart sank. I was hoping it might be a towel or something. On the way home, it was not what I wanted to see. It was the small kitten. Thing is, I cannot get this one because he is pretty much a flat mess and in the middle of the very busy road. I feel so bad. The only thing that makes me feel good is that it was obviously quick and the little guy won't be a stray for life. For a week or two, I'm changing my walking route because I don't wanna see it.
