I can't remember if I posted I got a TEE test done, which was NOT pleasant.. it shot video of the hole in my heart leaking bubbles from one side to the other.. Cardiologist seems to think getting the hole fixed is not worth the risk of the procedure.. The ONLY reason they would fix the hole is because I'm a diver.. Throwing an embolism or getting bent at depth could cause bubbles to pass through the hole, potentially killing me real dead..
My argument has always been that I've done over 750 dives with the hole, already, with no issues.. Then again, I haven't gotten bent or had an embolism.. So, doctor seems to think that if I dive "responsibly and carefully" it should be an issue..
I did bring up the point with him that you can do everything PERFECTLY on a dive and STILL get bent or throw an embolism.. I guess I'll cross that bridge if I get to it..
