Just finished Connelly's latest book on Bosch

"The Dark Hours".

A murder at midnight New Years eve. No one hears the shot because of all the noise and harmless gunfire. Also features Renee Ballard-detective in the Robbery and Homicide Dept of the Hollywood Division of LAPD. Story takes place after Bosch has left the Department and is on his own as a private detective.
