I still like watching games, especially if the Raptors are playing well in big games, but overall it’s not the same for me either. I too was a huge Lakers fan in the 80s and 90s. I started having less interest in the NBA when players started leaving college early. I used to love NCAA basketball. I was obsessed with the Big East and the Big Ten. Following players through their college careers until they made it to the NBA was fun. Seeing rivalries develop in school and then carry over into the pros was fun. Back then I could name almost every player in every team. Now I know the Raptors roster, the Lakers roster and a handful of super stars.
