have any of your folks seen this series on HBO yet?
I've seen the 1st 3 episodes... and I'm really beginning to really like this series.
I didn't realize that: Jerry West was a bit of a wreck, that Jack Kent Cooke (Redskins owner) sold the Lakers to Dr. Buss and that Pat Riley walked off the courts of Venice beach to beg for a color analyst job with Chick Hearn, and that Dr Buss made a coaching offer to Jerry Tarkanian from the running rebels...
I really liked that era of basketball, and this series is setting up the Laker dynasty of the 80s and the Celtic rivalry....
BTW,.... John C. Rielly nails Dr. Buss's comb over.
