I also just re-watched it for the first time in about 20 years. Very much a classic, and a break-through for its' time. And I agree on Bancroft & Duke deserving their awards. The movie itself seems like one long battle seen, to where it is almost anticlimactic at the end when they have their break-through at the water pump. Seems like the movie could have gone on just a little longer. But all in all... an outstanding film.
