Ugh! So bummed! You guys know of my interest in Midway and WWII Naval warfare..

I did some digging and found out there are no more expeditions funded for further searches for the sunken Japanese carriers at Midway. Just over 2 years ago, they found the Akagi and Kaga but not the Soryu and Hiryu. They released some sonar images and some very brief videos of the wrecks very close up. I was REALLY hoping to see more broad views and renditions like when Robert Ballard found the Yorktown. Looking at the sonar views, it looks like the decks of the Akagi and Kaga are gone. Both carriers burned BIG TIME for hours before being scuttled.

  I think most wrecks there are deeper than 125 ft

  I hear a lot of Shallow wrecks are being basically raped by "Salvage" teams.
