I have a Taylor with gold hardware that is about 35 years old. It's worn, but not that bad for that many years. So I knew it would wear, but didn't give it that much thought. I will now, though...

The same guy has shown me an acoustic guitar he's been working on, not for a client just a build to keep him busy when he doesn't have something else specific. It's actually made from the figured koa that is on the back of the headstock of my new guitar. It's going to be incredibly beautiful.

So my wife says to me this afternoon.... "If you want that acoustic, tell him to finish and buy it." I was like, whoa... do you understand how dangerous it is to say something like that to me?!" God, I love this woman.

Oh yeah... and the Spark is fun, because if I'm trying to learn a song I can usually download some presets and get close to the recording sound. And I can drag it over to a buddies house to play without taking one of the 80 pound tube amps.
