"There is nothing more heartbreaking than getting older and seeing people around you fade away". He told me that after he lost his two best friends only 10 days apart. I had JUST turned 11. I can still see the lonely look in his face. It was weird. I gave it brief thought and thought.... Heck, I'm just 11. I won't be his age (71 at the time) for a LONG LONG time. Thing is......People started dropping left and right as soon as I hit 41 years old. I'm only 54 and have already lost my immediate family, Step Dad and MY two best friends. This post, in itself, also took me back to 1978.
