December 1997 and just about all of Jan 1998 it constantly rained. Dec, Ja, Feb, I bet we had may 12 days where it did not rain. BUT THEN......We had a decent shower in mid March and never saw another drop till about the 6th-7th of July. And from late Mar till mid July, it was HOT HOT HOT. I remember all these time frames because a HUGE chink of Florida had wild fires. We were very very busy on the fire dept. That Spring/ Summer was the ONLY time I have ever seen a Southern Live Oak Tree wilt from drought. STUPID me! I sodded a chunk of my backyard in late April. Had to water it every day...not to keep it green but just keep it somewhat alive. It was so dry during that time you could roll on the front lawn at 4-5 AM and not get a spot of dew on you. It was crazy!! NOPE! I'll never complain about rain!
