Got an email from IMDB listing the top actors in 2021. I checked it out... you can too, here:
2021 StarsI knew only two actors on that list. And I don't know either of the two all that well.... although I really liked them in the movies I saw them in. Lily James I think is phenomenal. I've seen her twice, maybe 3 or 4 times?
I like having a huge number of actors because frankly I think there are VERY few actors capable of performing all that many different characters. Some of the mega famous actors I've seen many times ARE good actors but these days I can nearly always tell you when they're going to smile, raise and eyebrow, smirk, blink, look up down or sideways, hesitate (ala Shatner), etc. With actors I've never seen, or rarely seen, it's all 'new'... and I love that. - JamesJM
