This is why I love Medicare. Never a problem here. If my internist wants me to see a pulmonologist he simply sends a note to one on his keyboard and bingo I have an appointment. Caution: Medicare part D is what covers your prescriptions and that part is not cheap. My wife and I have Medicare (including Part D) plus a secondary in Anthem (Blue Cross) to pick up what Medicare won't. There are some physicians who won't accept you as a Medicare patient unless you also have the supplement.
