Oh my, you have my sympathy Atlantic...

You went thru hell. And I'm sure there are probably others on this board with similar tales. It almost makes me feel a little guilty....

My heart attack was mild, and actually I've had heartburn FAR more painful and uncomfortable than my heart attack was. When they told me it was a heart attack I argued the point, "Can't be. I don't have the symptoms I've read one has when having a heart attack".... the doctor then informed that what I was describing, (badly, I can't describe pain or discomfort well), was dead on accurate for a heart attack.

Even though mild I had a stent put in that same day. I wasn't awake... or actually they tell me that I was but with the anesthesia they use now you don't remember anything, but I had no discomfort from the procedure at all.

My only discomfort was them not allowing me to get up to go to the bathroom unless a nurse assisted.... I hated that. I didn't feel in the least in need of any help... I could have ran to the bathroom.

So my experience was very mild... but I'm not going to leave the wrong impression - I took it seriously. I've been on medicine since and although I do miss a few days here there taking it I'm pretty darned good about it.
