Would it make you feel more comfortable if they were held outdoors?
If indoors, the venue operators should consider vaccine passports. Wouldn't mean that you couldn't still become infected, but I suspect the chances would be diminished.
Passports are really the only way for indoor event operators/restaurant owners to: A) keep their venues from becoming super-spreader hosts; B ) keep their staff safer(er); and, 3) give the vaccinated attendees some reassurance of safety. Despite the fact that I'm vaccinated, there's no way you'd get me in a movie theater without them requiring a passport.
