she said she can't continue her head isn't in it.....well if your head isn't neither is your heart IMO....to me I see a person who has not been able to accomplish what she's done before and she feels/knows she can't be the gymnast she was....I have no problem with that, but when you make it sound as though it's a mental issue..to me that's not be true to yourself or your team. Be up and up IMO...nothing wrong with saying I need to stop my body says it just doesn't "do" it at the top level....MaMa stated she was in STL and did poorly.....to me it was not just a mental issue it was a heart issue...she did not have it in her and she quit.

To go into it a mental thing.....a pro doesn't bow out on a mental stress issue.....IMO she put added stress ON others by leaving them. She quit.....didn't go out because of an injury, or illness...she left because she wasn't doing up to what she has been, nothing wrong with that, but IMO you don't quit..you finish out and say thank you for your support, I need to leave because my body isn't there anymore....I fought by best fight and glad I could be a part of it.....that's how you leave with respect IMO......IMO standing there and saying I'm too stressed out mentally...I just have to leave....that's quitting....

Again I think it's sad for sure, but to me it's not heroic, and it puts added stress on the rest of her people she suited up with. She had a great career no doubt, but to leave under the reason of mental stress when it was more she was washed out lessens her final time on the mat....I bet it's hard to expect...leaving something you put all in on....but do it on the right foot (no pun intended). Leave before the Olympics with your history already in the books, or if you enter be ready to give your all and be proud of that till it's over.
