to see an animal suffering..

I know I posted about the squirrel I saw get hit by a car last year.. car kept going, squirrel moved a little bit, then popped into the air about 4 feet, hit the ground and I saw the life drain out of his eyes.. While this was happening, I immediately got on one knee and said a prayer: that he didn't suffer, and that I wouldn't have to put him out of his misery.. both prayers came true, but it was an awful prayer to have to hope comes true..

I put him in a box and buried him under a tree I planted a few years ago as a memorial to Lucie and Torrie, our two Beagles that passed.. Barney, another Beagle is also buried there..

I hate to tell you to bury the puppy because the owners may never know what happened to their puppy, but that may be for the best.. Sorry to hear that, man - my heart breaks for you both..
