you hear when you go into the jury pool and they start interviewing potential jurors.. The last one I was called in for was a custody case - state was trying to take custody from a druggy family and supposed abuse had also taken place.. About 150 of us in the juror pool.. After initial interview, at least 100 jurors claimed to have been sexually abused as children and couldn't serve on the jury, as it was "too close for them"..
Either that was pathetic or Texas has an amazing rate of child abuse cases that go unreported..
