Is Schindler's List a 'War' movie?

May 31, 2021 09:26AM
If so I think it would get my vote tied with one other. I saw it only once, and once is all I ever will see it.

Casablanca is the other. Another I think fantastic - "African Queen" - yet another Bogey film.

Loved "The Great Escape", and also "The Dirty Dozen".

There's actually many I'd rate just slightly below my top two choices... Private Ryan being one of them.

I don't think this one would fit in with the way you're thinking of "War" movie but if it did my all time favorite, even better than those I mention above, would be Ken Burn's "The Civil War" documentary miniseries.. - JamesJM
