Purchase of movie studio in deal valued at $6.5 billion, excluding debt, aims to bulk up Prime Video in race against Netflix and Disney

although MGM is just a shadow of it's former self , and produces very little currant context , James Bond is probably the crown jewel at the moment , and Also Rocky / Creed maybe , but other then that , they have very little current stuff , but MGM has a HUGE library of context , as MGM once ruled the cinema

I believe this buy out has alot to do with shows , new shows , as Amazon wants to compete with Netflix , as well as Disney

as Amazon is investing 465 million dollars in just season one of the new Lord of the Rings TV show

thats insane , and will be by far the most expensive TV ever produced , by a long ways
