That's something I believe so firmly that I have to admit that I find people who don't believe it a bit strange. And I don't mean 'strange' as in mentally impaired, or stupid.... just seems to me an 'obvious' conclusion, (even if it's not true).
There is one lingering doubt I have regarding life elsewhere, however. Even with our limited technology I think current technology should easily be advanced enough to have detected intelligent life elsewhere... especially intelligence very advanced over us. And yes... I understand the 'scope' of searching for signs elsewhere... it's a big universe, but it seems to me an advanced civilization wanting to be found would have considered this AND found a way of communication that could at least somewhat overcome that problem.
