I can be cruising along just fine and then..... BAM! I feel an ache as if they passed a few days ago. We're "supposed" to lose our Parents first and then way down the road, siblings and friends. They were two who were "supposed" to be around for the ride of life with me for a lot longer time. Both were my go to guys for a game. Be it Gators (My Brother) or our local AA Baseball team (My friend). As many know, I am VERY VERY nostalgic and those two were on my level at recalling old times and simply.....getting it. Not even a good time shakes things. A good time now just makes me wish they were there. What hurts even more is that they both essentially took their own lives. Both were two of the biggest motivators I have ever known (ESPECIALLY my Brother) but neither could pull themselves through life's demons. Very tragic BUT..........These years later, I can laugh out loud when a memory from 40+ years ago comes to mind. They are still cheering me up.
