I never watch foreign films. However, I do watch a lot of movies where I feel I need to turn on the closed captions more and more. If the actors have thick accents, or they mumble, or there is distracting noise... then I can't understand a word they're saying. I get tired of backing up the video, turning on the closed caption, playing it again, turning it off... only to have to keep repeating this process throughout the movie. Sometimes I just turn it on and leave it on 'cause it's easier for me to SEE what they're saying.
