I have often wondered these past years how we (USA) compares to other developed countries,
percentage wise, to mental illness. If the percentage is higher-and I know of no studies on the subject-how much of it is related to the internet, social media, genetics, and of course parenting -which is always the easiest fall back theory. Another question is why almost all of these tragedies are caused by men? Also whether or not the perpetrators are increasingly younger. (yesterday the killer was only 19) And what causes such unhappiness or uncontrollable rage that results in this behavior? These are the things that fascinate me and I only wish I was younger and had the time to actually research them in controlled studies.
