I'll second Michael Connelly

Great characters. Mickey Haller, Bosch, and now Ballard.

Bosch is a great series, too. I'd never heard of Titus Welliver until that show, but he delivers.

As an aside, he does a great Christopher Walken impression.

I know, I know, who doesn't these days...

Also can't go wrong with the Jack Reacher series by Lee Child.

Tom Cruise should not be allowed to play the part of Jack Reacher. It's sacrilegious!
