yeah, I'm probably what's considered an adrenalin junkie. I was expecting sky diving to be the ultimate thrill... but for me it was bungee jumping.
I love sky diving... but to my complete surprise, (the first time), that feeling of 'falling' is gone in just a few seconds... after that you don't feel like you're falling at all... just feels like a very strong wind is hitting you. Whereas with bungee jumping you have the sense of 'falling' throughout, even the trip back UP... which i thought was more fun than the trip down.
I'm not sure which caused me more anxiety... sitting with my legs hanging out of the plane waiting to jump or standing at the edge of the bungee tower... but I think I'd say the Bungee tower.
Actually the thing that caused me the most nervousness was the trip in the elevator going up the Bungee tower... passing over the hotel roof tops and realizing I was about to jump down that far. Being a pilot the trip up to sky dive meant nothing to me as far as nervousness.
But the most fun for me, of those two? After the chute on a sky dive opens and you're floating down... absolutely LOVE it. Most don't even remember that part... thinking only of the fall before your chute opens... which is fun as hell but I like that 'floating' feeling most- JamesJM
