I'm recording a song about them, as we speak.. The worst are the ones who pull out their cell phones and literally want to show you all 7000 photos on their phones - all with backstories..

The most frustrating part for me, is we can come home from diving with sharks, or cave diving, or something else really cool and unusual for this town, and these people will casually ask what I've been up to (its the token question in-between their subjects of mass boredom) and as soon as I say shark or cave diving, they cut me off to tell me about their TV schedule during the week I was gone, or something else equally as numbing.. really? Psychology-wise, I understand why they are cutting me off, but c'mon man!

This also happens to us at every restaurant we eat at regularly, where we know all the wait staff.. hell, half the time they just plop themselves down at our table to tell us everything going on in their, obviously, uneventful lives.. We have 2-3 on our block that I SWEAR have cameras because everytime we walk the dogs they come bolting out like that big dude in Seinfeld who always came crashing through the door.. I'd just as soon get an inch cut off my than listen to them..
