You might consider this. . . .

I had a cat, Misha, for many years. She was to me what your cats were to you.

The difference is, she was an "indoors" cat. . . never went outside and lived her life perfectly happy, content with my lap and sleeping at the top of my head at night. and, of course, her toys.

Maybe this time around you should do the same?
