It was announced today that The Weeknd will be the halftime headliner during Super Bowl 55 in February. I'm getting so old that I'm not familiar with all the chart-topping young artists these days. It just so happens that I know who this guy is. But, if I didn't... I could see myself having the following conversation:
Over 60 football fan: So, who's performing the Super Bowl halftime show this year?
Under 30 football fan: The Weeknd
Over 60 football fan: I said, who is the Super Bowl entertainment this year?
Under 30 football fan: The Weeknd!
Over 60 football fan: I didn't ask you when the game is. I KNOW when the game is. It's always on the weekend. I asked you who is doing the halftime show?
Over 30 football fan: I already told you it's The Weeknd!!! (rolls eyes and shakes head) Who's on first, eh, grandma?
Over 60 football fan: Huh? What does baseball have to do with it? Just answer the dang question, would ya? All I want to know is... who's performing?
