every time I hear nasa say they've found another earth like planet. You have to remember by their definition, Mars and Venus are earth like planets. I still believe in the rare earth hypothesis and will until we find a planet that doesn't have a large moon like we do that still has a strong enough magnetic field to block out solar radiation.
agree.....people don't realize just how important the moon is to a habitable planet for us human beings, let alone the magnetic core and perfect distance from the perfect star
We are definitely not alone, but Im pretty sure we are extremely rare and very lucky
