I survived the coldest day of my life. I was living in Belmar, New Jersey.... one half block from the ocean. A storm had come in and they reported that with the wind chill factor it was -22º. Being so young I thought it was 'fun'.... but it was also extremely painful.... you could only turn into the wind for a few seconds before the pain was unbearable.

It's possible I've been thru some colder days but those were during wilderness trips and I had no access to a thermometer.

About your photo... my family, all of them except me, are cold weather people... they love fall/winter... they love trips to the snow. I try to explain to them that sure, for a vacation, a few moments, it can be fun....but for 5 or 6 months? laughing smiley anyway... my family is away today but I'll show them your photo when they return home this evening... and I know exactly what they'll say: "OH I WANT TO BE THERE". And to be honest... so would I, but I would only want to be there for about an hour. laughing smiley
