Grandson Football... I think a humorous tale....

So some of you know it's 'possible', (not for sure), that my 15 yr old Soph grandson Ashton will step in as the Kerman High Varsity QB this year. He's been in contact with the HC throughout the summer... no practices... just chat... as have most of the players.

They began practice yesterday. Ashton is confident, but nervous... he told the HC he was going to give it his all no matter where he played. The HC replied, "Not a thing to worry about, Ashton. As long as you give me 2,500yds passing this year and 2,500 yds rushing you're good". Ok... so for the record.... both of those goals would be school records.

If they play a full schedule, (again, nothing for certain).... that would mean averaging 250yds rushing AND 250yds passing per game.

No, Ashton didn't take it seriously... he got a big laugh out of it. So did I... love a coach who has a sense of humor.... I mean, it WAS a joke, right? Sure, had to be.
