that's no ordinary day. 
I have never seen a President of the USA in person, that I know of. Came close twice.
First time was when JFK visited Yosemite... I was there camping at the time. Didn't see him. Then JFK went to the opening of the San Louis Reservoir and once again I was there.... didn't see him.
The closest I ever came was at the Madera Airshow in central Calif. George Bush, (President at the time), did a fly over in Airforce 1... a low pass, and I'm talking about 'on the deck'. Stunned the crowd. They patched Airforce 1's communications into the Airshow PA System so he was talking to the crowd when he flew over. Really an amazing and unique experience. - JamesJM
