I guess its just what we grew up with.. I know that Marantz will SMOKE the Nakamichi with Klipsche speakers surround sound setup I have.. I knew that the first time I played a Whitesnake CD on the surround sound.. its like, "where are the F'ing mids? The bass is booming with the sub, but it sucks!" that sort of thing.. I have the Marantz receiver, EQ, Cassette player, and tuner sitting on a shelf in a closet along with a Luxman CD player and cassette player and I know that setup would dominate the surround sound - at least for music.. the surround sound kills for movies.. But, I really don't have room to set them all up.. Maybe I can just hook up the receiver.. But it really needs the Marantz speakers that I also have stored...
