I was a "holdover" for four weeks, waiting for the next class of my advanced training to begin. I ended up working as a sorta company clerk, which at least gave me something to do. I cannot begin to imagine what they had the basic graduates doing for seven months. Talk about military limbo.

I guess a lot of butt patrols and I don't mean a part of one's body; Or the oldest trick in the book where you have one soldier digging a hole and another shoving the dirt back in at the same time.
