I'm not sure the comet is even visible anymore.
Yes to the Andromeda Galaxy but no doubt not visible for you. 2 reasons. Light pollution. Even for me is was but a wisp, very dim. AND it is located precisely in the one place I do get a little light pollution. Second reason - it's very low on the horizon, for me. I checked your latitude and didn't realize how much further south you were than I am. It may not even be above the horizon for you. But even it is I think no chance... anything more than the slightest light pollution and it would not be visible, without a telescope that is. Sorry for the wild goose chase.
As far south as you are that may have been the problem with the comet as well... it WOULD have been above your horizon but still very low.
Tried like hell to pinpoint the galaxy for my daughter and granddaughter but they never could see it. It's impossible to talk someone into pointing a pair of binoculars in the right direction unless you have a VERY prominent and nearby object to focus on.
