I understand your point if you think a BLM anthem is to solve the problem. It isn't. It's to bring to the front the main social issue this country faces today. It's to bring about a discussion whether your against it or not-much like what's going on right here in this post. The more the issue is addressed, no matter how inconvenient or uncomfortable it is, the better, IMO.

Of course the real irony in this discussion is that the national anthem was written by Francis Scott Key who was a slaveholder and one who believed blacks to be “a distinct and inferior race of people.” Indeed the 3rd verse in the anthem celebrates the ownership of slaves -but for obvious reasons isn't sung today.
