It was from the mid 1960s. It also starred Nick Adams. In the mid 1970s, we had Summer Fun Shows at our neighborhood theater. "Die Monster Die was a hoot! Cheesy by today's standards but it had a creepy feel to it. I actually found the DVD about 12 years ago.
