I was told to plant in my front yard by a lawn expert.. finally had one come out.. I've been STILL toiling away on this #^#@%^ front yard ever since this threat started.. I've got about a third of the front yard with grass - by FAR more than any other year in 22 years. I re-seeded the empty spots again today and am giving it everything I have.
One thing that helped was I got a tree limb cutter doo-hicky and have thinned out the tree so that more sun gets to the grass.. I have to water it multiple times a day, since the only grass that will grow in shade in fescue and fescue will die from the heat if the across the street neighbor has a BBQ.. So, CONSTANTLY watering the front yard.. I did shoot a "before" pic.. I'll post it and a "current" pic in a few days after I see if these new seeds start doing anything..
I declared war on our front yard this year.. this is the year we lawn it, then sod it if the lawn fails, then asian jasmine it if that
all fails, then astroturf it if EVERYTHING goes to pot.. There will be something other than dirt in this damn front yard by end of summer..
Friendship is like peeing your pants.. Everybody can see it, but only you can feel the warmth..
