the red shirts people always croak.. When they did a remake a few years ago - with Spock and Kirk and those guys, all played by younger actors, of course, there was a scene where, I think, 3 people went down to the planet.. and an unknown guy was wearing a red shirt and I told my wife, "that dude is gonna croak" and sure enough, he did.. Its definitely a red shirt thing, but keep in mind, they always put unknown people in the red shirts.. the expendables lol...
