We still have Benny..

March 22, 2020 01:02PM
Normally for this fostering group, you only keep the dog for 2-3 weeks or so.. but Benny had a broken pelvis, so we have to keep him a minimum of six weeks for his pelvis to heal.. He actually still has to undergo heart worm testing, as well, and if that comes back positive, we'll have him even longer because they cannot administer the shots to a dog with a broken pelvis.. the shots are too hard on the dog's back..

So, we've got him at least 4 more weeks.. We would absolutely keep him if they would let us.. he's already one of the pack and he behaves better than any Beagle we've ever had.. but the rules stipulate you can't keep them - unless they are too injured to go.. So, we'll just have to see what happens.. If we have to give him up, it gonna suck really bad..

Friendship is like peeing your pants.. Everybody can see it, but only you can feel the warmth..
