sometimes two , that wander into the state . A few I know have even made it as far as eastern Iowa , and have been spotted along the Mississippi River

sadly though ,, it's usually a death sentence ,when they make it this far

the one that was spotted yesterday was just outside of town , so this one has been the closest one so far

Bobcats are making a comeback here , I've yet to see one , but sightings of Bobcats are becoming pretty common over the last few years

both Mountain Lions and Bobcats were both , at one time , native to Iowa , but in the late 1800's they were hunted pretty much to extinction , at least here in Iowa
