Allow me to tell you about one of the greatest days in my life.... but the story begins with tragedy, horrific tragedy....

In 1991 my home burned down... total loss... other than a few scant items that happened to be 'loaned out' or at my Dad's house we lost everything.

That meant replacement... and when you replace 'everything' you can't imagine how many things that comes too... there are Q-Tips, and spare batteries, and.. well, you get the idea.

It also meant, however, my wardrobe and nearly all of my personal gear... WHICH, is almost entirely 'outdoors' stuff... so I went shopping... at "CABELAS". I don't remember what my total order came to BUT.... it was significant... it included guns, ammo, VERY expensive camping gear... and on and on. Which resulted in - - - - I got a thank you letter from Cabela's telling me I was in the top 100 customers in the nation for that month... PLUS... some 'free' stuff to just say 'thanks'. And ever since then... I get the 'hard cover' edition of their yearly catalog.

BTW... I also made Costco's top 100 customers that month. But they didn't give me any free stuff. - JamesJM
