Saw one of those 'golden moments' tonight at Basketball...

High School Basketball.... we got crushed... no matter...

One of the players, a Sr., almost never gets in. He's a great football player - basketball ain't his game. With about 2 minutes to go the game was out of hand... we were getting crushed... actually at the half the game was over. So with 2 minutes left in comes Tyler... a linebacker.

Lots of players who seldom play were in at the time... I think our opponent scored something like 15pts in those last two minutes while we scored ZIP. So with 5 seconds to go in the game the crowd is chanting, "SHOOT , SHOOT, SHOOT"... I don't think Tyler has a clue about the clock, much less the shot clock. BUT, he hears the chant...

He gets a 3pt attempt off.... the buzzer ending the game sounds while the ball is in mid-flight... and then... "SWISH"... probably the first 3 Pointer Tyler ever made in his life.... including at his home in his driveway... AND THE CROWED WENT CRAZY!!!!!!!
