They're going to have to do better. Zombie, clown, either one gets belligerent with me and I'm slapping the stuffing out of them.
The last truly scary being worth his/her salt was, IMHO, Delores Umbridge. (Harry Potter) That woman was terrifying. Gave me nightmares. You put Delores in a cage with a Zombie and the Zombie will be lying fetal sucking his thumb in a nanosecond. And a clown vs Delores? Delores would 'wand' that red nose into oblivion like my daughter going after a spider blocking her exit from the room.
First real 'scare' I got was from the movie "I Was A Teenage Werewolf". My cousin and I were dropped off at the movie theater and watched it alone... that night I slept with my parents, or I should say 'didn't sleep'... somewhere around 2am my Mom's eyebrows started growing... had I not woken her the conversion would have completed and my Dad and I would have been slain before dawn.
Then came the Creature From The Black Lagoon BUT... he didn't really bother me much, just never go swimming again, problem solved.
Dracula scared me somewhat.. but he was always in Europe, far from California.
Regan in The Exorcist was terrifying... but anyone that can be constrained by a simple bedsheet knot isn't really that big a threat.
Yup, Hollywood needs to up their game...I'm onto them. - JamesJM
