is really a brilliant move toward making things much easier to play.. I haven't ever done it, myself - we only tune down a half step for vocal purposes - mainly because I'd probably hafta change guitars quite often, since we only do covers.. I can't do any live alternate tunings onstage due to the wang bar clamps on the neck of all my stage guitars.. tensions and whatnot created by the clamps won't allow you to make big changes in tunings without releasing the clamp.. (you probably knew that, but others might not have so I threw it in there)..
